Mangrove Wood Vinegar
Primarily sourced from PT Bina Ovivipari Semesta (PT BiOS), West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The mangrove wood vinegar is tapped from the smoke produced during the carbonisation process of white charcoal. Green Forest has sold several containers to Taiwan and China for use as fertilizer since 2017. In addition, we have successfully tested the effectiveness of using wood vinegar as a termicidal in Jakarta.

Green Forest has developed a way to reduce tar and impurities, as well as maximizing the amount of vinegar produced per kiln. PT BiOS has the capacity to produce 13 tons of vinegar per month. Green Forest is also working closely with Nanyang Technological University (NTU, Singapore) to further develop the vinegar for other uses. We are also interested in developing the vinegar production at other mangrove charcoal factories.
